NOTES:
The boa constrictor is a non-poisonous tropical snake belonging to a specialised group of reptiles. The life span of this snake is about 20 – 40 years. Some Boas live in underground holes while others live in trees or lakes. They lay about 20-50 eggs a year which 100-150 days to hatch. Boas seize their pray with their jaws, then entwine it in their powerful body coils and kill it through suffocation.
