Coin snake
Hemorrhois nummifer
DISTRIBUTION:
Southeastern Colorado and western valleys
FOOD:
Carnivorous
NOTES:
This is one of the most available snakes in the pet trade. This snake is relatively small and as such does not require a large enclosure. Like most snakes it likes to feel secure in its enclosure and therefore requires hiding spots in its tank. These snakes come in many beautiful colours and are hardy and docile creatures.
