FOOD:
Feeds nuts, berries, fruits, nectar, blossoms and leaf buds.
DISTRIBUTION:
From the northern parts of India and Nepal through Assam, Burma, the Andaman Islands, the Southern portion of China and Indochina to Indonesia
NOTES:
Young birds can be easily taught to speak. These birds have a raucous trumpet like scream that can be heard from a great distance. Whilst feeding in the treetops they are generally quiet. The flight is slower than other parrots and the rounded wings are very noticeable.
