FOOD:
Seeds, fruit, nuts, grass and herbaceous plants.
DISTRIBUTION:
Island Districts of Western and South Australia as far as the western slopes of the Flinders Ranges.
NOTES:
Though persecuted by fruit growers, and somewhat heavily trapped, this species seems to be surviving. They spend much of their day on the ground or amongst the branches of trees and shrubs. When disturbed they call excitedly and investigate the danger before flying away.
