NOTES:
This rare, quiet and undemonstrative birds is one of the largest of the Australians due to their magnificent tail. As it can be quite tame it will allow a close approach, however when disturbed it will fly to a nearby tree perching lengthwise to try to escape detection. Its flight is not especially swift and there is a slight undulation, before alighting these birds seem to pause momentarily in the air and then drop to the ground with a fluttering of wings.
