North eastern Africa
NOTES:
This is not a conspicuous bird and can be shy and difficult to approach. They are usually observed in pairs or small groups, seldom in large flocks. This birds swift flight is direct with rapid wing beats and they always seem to be on the move emitting a shrill screech as they fly. They prefer to perch on the branch of a dead tree.
