FOOD:
Seeds, nuts, berries and fruit.
DISTRIBUTION:
From eastern Panama, central America, south as far as Bolivia, and Brazil.
NOTES:
A smaller species of Macaw, it has an intense green coloration making it very attractive in the sunlight. A very affectionate and highly intelligent bird that can be tamed quite easily. An impressive but sometimes rather moody species. This bird when tamed learns to repeat a few words but not too clearly.
