DISTRIBUTION:
Mexico, Western Costa Rica
NOTES:
It is the smallest of the 27 different species of Amazon and less raucous than its larger relatives. Solitary they can be excellent pets and good talkers, especially when purchased young. Like most parrots these birds are noisy in flight, especially when traveling to and from roosting sites and can often be seen in flocks containing hundreds of birds.
